Hey T, Well the Diplomacy game pretty much hung my computer too. I was able to play it, but when I tried to exit there was trouble. The game play itself was.... cumbersome. I have my doubts about simply sending it to Myk or the Hurricane and counting on them figuring it out. I did broach the subject with Hurricane and Pa over Easter and both liked the idea of an online game with week-long intervals between moves, though, so it may bear pursuing. However, if we are both having problems, what do you think will occur on Pa or Myk's computer? Anyway, happy B-day T. Only 4 more years till you're old! LXV

Hey T, Your cell-phone never has minutes on it and I left a message at your house like a month ago. Doesn't really matter though -I'm sure if it were that important Riccardo would just Google me and post on the forums himself. LXV

Aha! I knew posting all my research online would one day yield results! I am certain that we must be distant cousins: these Thills are far too rare and elusive for so many similarities to be coincidental! It was very nice to hear from you -It's been a LONG time since I've made any progress on the Thill line whatsoever. My e-mail address is alex @ vanwijst . com (all one word -I don't advertise it online because spammers have no sense of decency). Please feel free to e-mail me further details, or post them here by all means -perhaps other Thill descendants will stumble upon us in the due course of time. I can't say that I've made much headway on the Thills. I was down in Cincinnati two/three years ago and did some preliminary research on the Kleimans (the family Josephine married into). I don't have any confirmed siblings for Josephine, but I do have a "Joseph Thill" and "Celestine Matz" appearing in William Kleiman's (1831-1895) will as witnesses -I assumed both were at least cousins of Josephine, and must have been living in the Cincinnati area in the 1890s. Besides that I have little, but might be able to build on your research. Do you have any information on the Thills/Matzes before they immigrated to the States? I don't even have a date for that. Anyway, I'm sure if we put our heads together we can generate some leads. Alex

I found your genealogy page and am interested in one of the members of your family tree. Josephine Thill Kleiman might be the sister of my Catherine Thill Becker. I have looked, for what seems forever, for the Thill family. Catherine Thill Becker was born about 1836 in Lorraine, France. Her parents were Nicholas Thill and Mary Matz. She immigrated to Cincinnati about 1850 or so. She married Nicholas Becker 1860 in Cincinnati. They eventually ended up in Ripley Ohio which is about 50 miles east of Cincinnati on the Ohio River. She died 1828 in Ripley, but was buried back in Cincinnati in the St. John's German Cemetery. There are too many similarities between your Josephine and my Catherine to not explore this possible connection. Do you have any further knowledge or information about your Josephine Thill? Do you know of any siblings that she may have had? Thank you, Lynn Koehler

I know the forums have been little used of late, but posts tend to breed posts people! Anyway, here's the news in pictorial format: Isn't she just the most adorable thing ever? Discuss.
